Dear UPPER PROVIDENCE NEIGHBORS and INTERESTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS~
Happy 2024.
The Upper Providence Township Board of Supervisors will be meeting on Tuesday, 1/2/2024 at 7:00pm to begin the process for "doing business" in the township for 2024. Please note: TWO NEW SUPERVISORS will be sworn into office, Supervisor Maria Sadler and Supervisor Kelly Stevens. We wish all the Supervisors the best for a productive citizen focused year!
In addition, at the January 16th Board of Supervisors meeting, they will be discussing the NEW PROPOSED ZONING AMENDMENT to the Parkhouse Farm property currently zoned as OPEN SPACE CONSERVATION DISCTRICT (OSC) with Institutional Overlay . If zoning is changed to R2 and it is a allowed, this would certainly see the end of the last contiguous 176 acres in our township as well as allow upwards of 800 HIGH DENSITY HIGH RISE STYLE TOWNHOMES, and CLUSTER HOMES and APARTMENTS on that property.
IMAGINE King of Prussia Town Center along Rte 113, State Road, Yeager Roads.
THIS AMENDMENT IS VERY CONCERNING and IF ALLOWED -IT WILL BE EVIDENT THAT THE TOWNSHIP HAS ONLY THE DEVELOPER'S INTENTION'S IN MIND - NOT THE BEST INTERESTS OF UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP CITIZENS AND NEIGHBORS OF PARKHOUSE FARM.
PLEASE COME OUT ON JANUARY 16TH TO VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION!
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!
Sincerely,
Friends of Parkhouse Farm
Please save the farm, we don’t need anymore development in this two and don’t need to build new schools which we will probably need
