Don't Sell out to the Developers

On January 16, 2024 at the Upper Providence Township Supervisors Meeting they will be voting on a Re-Written version of the zoning for the 176 acres of fields behind Parkhouse on Rt 113 (2nd Ave, Old State Road, Yeager Road). We believe this was written by the Developer and even if not it does not have our Community in its best interest. Developers should NOT BE RE-WRITING our ordinances. PLEASE, PLEASE come out to the meeting at 7pm at the Township Building, 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville and tell them to vote NO.


One of our neighbors took time to compare the proposed ordinance to the existing one and noted all the differences. Here are pdf files of that and the proposed ordinance and a link to the existing ordinance. Do your own research. Upper Providence Residents should not let Developers come in and have special accommodations just so they can make more money!


If this ordinance gets approved it will not only apply to this land but any other parcel in the township that is zoned the same.


REMEMBER - this proposed development at this cluster housing size is going to:

INCREASE TAXES

INCREASE TRAFFIC

CAUSE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS - FLOODING, eliminate wildlife and their habitat

CAUSE PUBLIC SAFETY PROBLEMS

NEED FOR INCREASED FIRST RESPONDERS

just to name a few.
